shad roe March 7, 2024 Reviewer: Doris Finch from Altadena, CA   When Ron called to tell me shad were running we couldn't wait.  Growing up on the East coast it was always a very special Spring treat, but living on the West coast now, it is near impossible to find and then only sort of fresh.  Then I found Charleston Seafood.  This year I swear it was the best ever.  Amen. Great Product/Great Customer Service! December 26, 2018 Reviewer: Brandie from Mississippi   My husband and I have been looking for over four years trying to find shad roe that's high quality, and something that could revive some family traditions on Christmas morning. Speciality at its best. March 19, 2018 Reviewer: Paulina Ungureanu from Hollywood, FL United States   Roe sacs can be pan-fried in butter, bacon fat, or coconut oil.  Take the point of a knife and just poke a couple small holes in it and that should prevent it from exploding while frying.  Also keep the lid on. To me, this is Food from Heaven. I have received the package in excellent condition. I wish I were rich, so I could have been able to order over and over again. Was this review helpful to you?

Ahhh the memories of shad roe! April 14, 2017 Reviewer: Carolyn Seymour from Pittsburgh, PA   Out of the blue, I suddenly had a hankering for shad roe, which we ate quite often at my home, when it was in season.  I was quite young at the time and I am now 66!  I found Charleston Seafood when I started trying to find somewhere that I could purchase some shad roe.  I called the number, talked to Ron (who is from Pittsburgh, by the way).  That was two days ago and my shad roe arrived this morning!!  I had my first taste in probably 45 years!  Yummy!  The memories came flooding back!  Thank you so much, Ron!  I'll be in touch next year for more!
